ProductShare’s DAO Journey: A New Era of Community Governance and Public Good Empowerment
We are thrilled to announce that ProductShare has officially transitioned to operate as a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). This pivotal moment reflects years of preparation, growth, and a commitment to reshaping commerce for the better.
The Original Proposal: Partnership for Shared Abundance
The foundation of this journey lies in the "Partnership for Shared Abundance" proposal, which outlined a transformative roadmap for decentralizing ProductShare’s governance and economic model. Key highlights from the proposal include:
- A Dual Token System: The governance token, StakeShare (PSS), empowers community-driven decision-making, while ShareCash (SC) facilitates transactions within the ProductShare marketplace.
- Community Causes Program: The proposal committed to onboarding 100 public good initiatives over 11 years, starting with 10 initiatives in 2024. These initiatives would receive StakeShare grants to align their communities with ProductShare's ecosystem.
- Strategic Liquidity Launch: A focused campaign in November 2024 would establish a StakeShare liquidity pool, ensuring stable funding and enabling public trading of the governance token.
- Economic Model: The DAO aims to achieve self-sustaining revenue through e-commerce activities, with consistent profit-sharing to stakeholders.
Timeline from the Proposal:
- October 2024: Onboard initial four initiatives (Abundance DAO, Treegens DAO, Trusted Seed, Impact DAO). Establish the governance committee and approve the liquidity campaign strategy.
- November 2024: Execute an aggressive awareness campaign and launch the StakeShare liquidity pool, securing sufficient funding for DAO operations.
- December 2024: Onboard six additional initiatives and expand governance capabilities.
- January 2025: Drive marketplace sales and implement curated product campaigns.
- February–March 2025: Activate full DAO governance and scale operations, preparing for the next phase of public good partnerships.

- Current Year Distribution: 33 million tokens are outstanding, split evenly across Co-creators, Public Goods, and Customer Circle stakeholders.
- Staking Rewards: 100 million tokens will be distributed over 111 months, with monthly emissions beginning after the liquidity launch.
